The first civil-police consultation organized by the HHC in the VIIIth district of Budapest was successful

The first civil-police consultation between the Budapest VIIIth District Police and the local organizations representing the Józsefváros inhabitants was held in April by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee. The aim of the consultation was building trust between the police and the residents through informal negotiations. The bringing closer the police and the community results in enhanced trust, more effective police work and safer community. The participants agreed that the continuation of consultations could be fruitful both for the police and the local community.
