Laura Armstrong

I joined the Hungarian Helsinki Committee’s Refugee Programme in 2021. My main responsibilities include coordinating projects in the Refugee Programme, writing project proposals and identifying funding opportunities. Perhaps the most inspiring part of my work is facilitating training courses for Hungarian, migrant and refugee youth where we think and learn together about social participation, active citizenship and human rights.

I have an MSc diploma in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a BA degree in Communication and Media Science. After graduating, I began working in the field of migration and asylum, first at an international organisation and then in the civil society sector.
