#Ukraine Destitution and homelessness: the situation of vulnerable Ukrainian beneficiaries of temporary protection

Katalin Juhász

Legal coordinator, Refugee Programme

I have been working for the Hungarian Helsinki Committee since 2019 as a legal officer for the Refugee Programme. I provide legal representation primarily to those in need of asylum, or assistance in immigration and citizenship procedures. I started my legal career in civil and corporate law, but the soul-stirring events of the 2015 refugee crisis led me to a change of direction. In 2018, I obtained my LL.M. degree in Human Rights Law from Queen Mary University in London. Following this I gained experience at the AIRE Centre  in London in the field of international strategic litigation as a legal caseworker. I am proud to work at the Helsinki Committee to advocate for the rights of people belonging to the most vulnerable groups.
