The Hungarian Helsinki Committee contributes as a project partner to the EU-funded project ‘LGBTIQ Detainees: Strengthening the rights of LGBTIQ detainees in the EU’, coordinated by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Fundamental and Human Rights. Additional project partners are the Associazione Antigone (Italy) and the Centre for European Constitutional Law (Greece). The project aims to assess the situation of LGBTIQ detainees, to identify challenges, gaps and promising practices and to raise awareness of the need for change.
