Eszter Kirs PhD

I have been working in the Hungarian Helsinki Committee’s Justice and Rule of Law Programme since 2013. Initially, I sought to facilitate the transfer of its professional knowledge base through the organisation of professional trainings; primarily on the effective prosecution of hate crimes and the rights of defendants in criminal proceedings. Currently, I am primarily responsible for implementing university human rights education projects. I feel close to this task not only because of the topic, but also because I have been teaching international law since 2003. I am presently a lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest.
