Internship opportunitiesThe HHC often hosts interns who are not from Hungary. We welcome the involvement of interns in our activities and strive to craft internship experiences that are mutually beneficial to the organization and to the intern. As a general rule, due to space and supervisory limitations the HHC can accommodate only one foreign intern at a time. Description Typically, our interns are involved in diverse aspects of the HHC’s activities. As a general rule, they assist the HHC in human rights monitoring and research, legal analysis, research, helping to organize events, project management tasks, program development and proposal writing, website maintenance and update, systemizing information and database creation/updates etc. Other tasks may also be assigned depending on the specificities of ongoing projects. Requirements
Additionally, there are other factors that are highly valued. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
Although most of the HHC’s activities concern Hungary and therefore require knowledge of Hungarian, many aspects of our work as well as several of our projects are carried out in English. Please note that the HHC is unable to provide funding for internships. To apply If you are interested in a summer internship, you should apply by the end of April. In the past, the majority of intern applications have been for summer positions. This is the most competitive time to obtain an internship with the HHC. Those interested in non-summer internships are invited to apply at any time during the year. Internships may also be arranged on an ad hoc basis. A minimum of three-month stay is requested. If you are interested in obtaining an internship with HHC, please send us your CV and a cover letter via email.
