This project, to be carried out in 2009, is aimed at decreasing racism among police officers and contributing to the development of an organizational culture of tolerance within the Hungarian police force. In order to achieve this goal, the project will develop, organise and deliver a series of anti-discrimination trainings for senior police officers, members of the operational staff and their direct superiors in three regions of Hungary, and students at the Police College of Hungary. The training methodology and background materials will be developed by internationally acknowledged experts of the topic. The trainings and workshops will consists of transferring relevant knowledge on international and domestic anti-discrimination law and sensitisation of the participants with regard to non-discrimination. The project will be carried out by the HHC in cooperation with the National Police Headquartersand the Hungarian Police College.
